Smart UAE Police Cars For Expo 2020

By the time Expo 2020 comes around, the roads of the UAE are expected to be laden with smart police cars – equipped with remote control features, cameras and radars.

Abu Dhabi Police have confirmed that the new patrol will help police handle the growing numbers of visitors to the UAE that are expected to attend the international crowd-pulling event.

The concept of the Smart Patrol project was invented by Mubara Abdul Rahman Al Hashemi, an employee at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

In a statement issued by officials, Al Hashemi explained that the vehicle will be linked to the Operations Room at Abu Dhabi Police, in addition to a number of hi-tech features, which aims to maintain road security by spreading the traffic safety culture, and enforcing the law.

However, further details of the patrol’s capabilities were not revealed.
