Cypress Semiconductor Corporation is an American semiconductor design and manufacturing company.

In 2016 Cypress acquired Broadcom Corp's full portfolio of IoT products including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee connectivity, as well as Broadcom's WICED platform and SDK for developers. The deal combines Broadcom's developer tools and connectivity technologies for IoT devices with Cypress' own programmable system-on-a-chip (SoC) products that provide memory, computing, and graphics processing for low-power devices.

Our world-class wireless technology—along with our MCUs, memories, analog ICs and USB controllers—gives us an unparalleled position in the fast-growing Internet of Things, a business that cuts across our conventional markets and gives us a stake in exciting, next-generation segments such as connected and autonomous cars.

Cypress was acquired by infineon in 2020.
