The Electric Power Research Institute’s Cyber Security Research Laboratory (CSRL) addresses the security issues of critical functions of electric utilities.

The Cyber Security for Generation Assets program will support protecting assets from a cyber attack, detecting cyber attacks and compromises, and response and recovery efforts.

Research deliverables, technical meetings, developmental workshops, and research teams sponsored by this program help to facilitate collaboration among the industry stakeholders including utilities, asset owners and operators, vendors, suppliers, academia, standards bodies, and governments to help address these challenges. The technology transfer activities within this program, i.e. field pilots and demonstrations, for members are used to improve the application of the technologies, methodologies, and guidance to improve knowledge and effectiveness of their generation OT cyber security programs.
