Information and Communication Technology Authority (ICT Authority) - Kenya

The ICT Authority is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Information Communication and Technology. Our broad mandate entails enforcing ICT standards in Government.

Several initiatives are being implemented to address information security.

The Authority seeks to improve network design and infrastructure set-up and management, and eradicate unlicensed and counterfeited software. The Authority has also undertaken to develop adequate network infrastructure support skills.

In addition, the Authority has developed the information security standard that is to be employed by all Ministries, Counties and Agencies (MCAs) to assess, control and manage security risks so as to ensure continuity in Government operations, minimise risk, and maximise return on Government IT investments.
