Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) - Vietnam

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam is the policy making and regulatory body in the field of information technology and national information and communication infrastructure.

Within the MIC, the Authority of Information Security (AIS) is responsible for:

- Laws, policies and other legislative documents related to information security
- Critical information infrastructure protection and building national-wide infrastructure to protect cyberspace in Vietnam
- Guide and support governmental agencies and other organizations to enhance and protect their information systems from information security risks
- Evaluate the level of Information security in organizations and critical information infrastructure.

AIS also has missions on raising awareness, improving capacity and cooperating with international organizations in information security.
