National Cyber Security Centre (NKSC) - Lithuania

NKSC (Nacionalinio Kibernetinio Saugumo Centro) is the main Lithuanian cyber security institution, responsible for unified management of cyber incidents, monitoring and control of the implementation of cyber security requirements.

NKSC mission: to be the centre of cyber security expertise for effective cyber security incidents and a strong cyber security prevention system in the country.

NKSC approved regulations provide for the following main operational goals of the institution: implement a national cyber security policy; perform the functions of the Security Service; perform the functions of the national communications protection service; perform information dissemination, research and analysis on cyber security issues. Since 2018 NKSC provides assistance to the state and businesses institutions and residents. Within the limits of its competence, the NKSC makes decisions along with the state institutions and organizations and other economic entities
