National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCI) - Chile

ANCI (Agencia Nacional de Ciberseguridad) is the National Cybersecurity Agency of Chile. ANCI began operations in January 2025.

ANCI will contribute to protecting Chile’s digital infrastructure against emerging threats, such as cybercrimes and attacks on critical services. These include sectors like health, telecommunications, transportation, financial services, and others deemed essential under the new regulations.

Key functions of the ANCI include:

Regulating and supervising public and private institutions managing essential services and operators of vital importance (OIV).
Establishing mandatory cybersecurity protocols, standards, and instructions.
Administering the State’s Secure Connectivity Network.
Advising the Government on cybersecurity policies and action programs.
Promoting cybersecurity education and preventing incidents that could affect critical services.
